DOP Motorsport / Silviu Ghita
Another amazing car we wanted to showcase is the Lupo bimoto built by Silviu Ghita and his company, DOP Motorsport. While it is a twin-engine build like our Calibra Tsunami, that is probably where the similarities end.
Silviu fitted two massive R36 engines into the tiny Lupo, featuring some of our work such as intake manifold parts and engine covers. On top of that, each engine is boosted by two huge turbochargers in a compound turbo setup.
Unlike our project, this car actively competes in 1/4 mile drag races and is insanely fast. A time of 7.6 seconds is 0.8 seconds quicker than our bimoto.
We could blame the age gap and gearboxes for the difference in times: the Lupo uses ultra-fast DQ500 transmissions, for which we also offer a wide range of parts, including VR6 swap adapters.
